Today, I’m doing my first give-away. Above are 3 hand-sewn scarves made from soft, re-purposed t-shirts for one lucky winner. It celebrates my first 3 months of blogging and concludes our week at the circus. It was a lot of fun, and a balancing act at the same time. The green scarf makes the perfect summer accessory while the other two are great for late summer days and early fall.
The pattern is unusual in its simplicity. It consists of two spirals connected by a rectangle. This combination of shapes falls into a soft drape. The scarf (the pattern will be available soon) can be made by anybody, even a beginner without any prior sewing experience. No sewing machine is needed…though knowing how to thread a needle might help.
Everybody can participate, just enter your comment in this post before Monday, the 26th of July at 5 pm EST. I will ship world wide. A randomly selected winner will be announced on Tuesday morning.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

Lovely!!!!
it is incredible what one can do out of such a simple thing as a piece of fabric withount getting compicated. somebody once said, that design i not finished unless there is something left you can take away. isn't it crazy that there are things like this scarf that come this simple AND romantic?
I love scarves…and have recently started growing my hair out, so I need one as soft as these to wrap around my head!
Wow, I would love to win these but since those chances are slim, I cannot wait for the pattern. They look so soft and pliable … and who doesn't have old t-shirts lying around?
What a gorgeous design…I have already made some of your items, but this one looks like it would be such fun to make….but lots more fun to win in the giveaway. Please put my name in the bowl, and I will hope to be a last minute winner.
Hugs,
